New feature in Breeze: Merge tasks

If you're a project manager, you know that managing tasks can be a challenging task in itself. With multiple tasks assigned to different team members, keeping track of everything can be overwhelming. That's why we're excited to introduce a new feature in our project management software - task merge. This new feature will make managing tasks much easier by allowing you to merge multiple tasks into a single one, eliminating the need to track multiple tasks separately.

This feature is especially useful when several tasks are closely related, and it makes more sense to merge them into a single, more comprehensive task.

How to merge tasks

You can find the task merge option on the task window side menu and also on the task quick menu.

Search for the task you want to merge the current task in to:

1. Type the task name or the task ID
2. Select the task from the dropdown menu
3. From the "Move" dropdown select the attributes you want to merge to the new task
4. Click on the Merge button

The task merge works by moving all the selected attributes from the current task to the selected task. After merge the current task is archived and the word "MERGED" is added to its name.

Moving the task attributes means that they are removed from the current task and added to the new task. Example, all comments are moved to the new task.

Merge multiple tasks

You can also merge multiple tasks at once using our bulk task edit feature. You can find the merge option o the bulk edit toolbar.

Once the merge option is selected, the highlighted tasks are merged one-by-one into the selected task. This feature is designed to simplify project management and improve team collaboration, by streamlining tasks and reducing the complexity of project management workflows.
